Okay so an extremely big thanks to :iconlovealltheyaoi: for allowing me to use one of the prompts they made. I'm using number 25, rings. This is just a quick oneshot in Delirious' POV, I hope you enjoy!

I fiddled with my tie in the mirror and took a deep breath. 'It'll be fine. Stay calm. Everything will be okay.' I thought to myself as I clutched the small box in my hand. I walked out of the washroom and back to my table that my love was sitting at. I smiled as he ran a hand through his spiky black hair before smiling back at me. I had already made up my mind. I loved him and I was going to marry him. I sat down and took a sip of the wine that had been set out at the table.

"You still haven't told me why we're here." Evan said as he swished his wine in his glass before sipping it. I smiled slightly.

"I already told you, it's a surprise. Besides, we can't go out to a fancy restaurant every once in a while?" I said setting my glass down. Evan looked down.

"I guess, but I always figured you hated these types of things. Dressing up all fancy in these itchy suits, being choked by a tie." He said scratching the back of his neck. He was right, I did hate this but if it made him happy I'd do it everyday. I smiled and grabbed his hand. He looked up and smiled washing the fear out of me.

A little after dinner our waiter came over to us with our desert. I watched with a smile as Evan took small sophisticated bites of his cake. He looked up at me from his plate.

"What?" He asked sweetly.

"Oh nothing." I said quietly. He looked at me suspiciously. "Remember when we went on our first date and how disastrous it was?" I asked him. A smile formed on his lips.

"Yes, you brought pizza and beer back from a bar and then I proceeded to drop the pizza upside-down, which was followed by the beer exploding when they fell on the floor." He said laughing.

"Do you see how far we've come? Date one was shitty, half empty, luke warm beer and upside-down pizza, now look where we are. Sitting in a fancy restaurant eating classy food and drinking wine that doesn't cost 4 dollars." I said slightly laughing. Evan laughed and looked around the restaurant smiling.

"You're right, we have come a long way." He said still looking around. When his eyes focused back on me I felt around in my pocket for the box.

"Evan, I have known you and loved you for 3 years now. You make me happy in sad times and are always the highlight of my day. You are always there when I need you and I can count on you for anything." I said slowly pulling the box out of my pocket and getting down on one knee. "I have never met anyone who is more talented at making me laugh, cheering me up and over all loving me." I was now on one knee and Evan was smiling with tears growing in his eyes. "Evan will you marry me?" I asked opening the box and exposing the gold wedding band inside. Evan cupped his hand over his mouth. I smiled up at him. He sat there shocked before he removed his hand and started laughing. I looked up at him confused. "I don't understand, what's so funny." I said staring up at him. He had tears streaming down his face from laughing so hard.

"You don't get it." He said trying to control his laughter. I could feel my face turning red, I wasn't angry but there was some part of me that was getting impatient with his continued laughter. I immediately lost all of my frustration once he knelt down beside me on one knee and pulled out a small box containing a silver wedding band. I smiled and started laughing beside him.

"I wanted to purpose first, you bastard." He said laughing. He wiped a tear away from his face slipped the gold band around my finger and admired it.

"No way man, I was going to ask you first." I said holding his hand. "And I did." I said leaning over and kissing his cheek lightly. He smiled and blushed slightly as I placed the ring on his finger. The waiter walked by and saw us embraced in a tight hug.

"Gentlemen is everything alright?" He asked standing next to me with a concerned tone.

"Everything is perfect." I said releasing Evan and standing up, holding out a hand for him. Evan took it and dusted his pant leg off. We smiled as we sat down and continued to eat our desert, our hands still intertwined. This really was the perfect night.
